Anxiety has become a major mental health issue plaguing nearly everyone these days. It's not a coincidence, by the way, there are specific reasons for this. There's a lot of bad and incorrect information out there about anxiety and it's my goal to clear a lot of it up. I'm offering correct information about anxiety, which I understand might be a bold claim. Almost nobody seems to really understand anxiety. The mental health industry doesn't even talk about what anxiety is or where it comes from. They don't agree about mental illness, what it is, or where it comes from. They don't even have the conversations.

Talking from personal and professional experience here. I was extremely anxious when I was younger. It had a massive negative impact on my life and me personally. In the years since, I worked hard on tackling this issue and I confidently say at this stage in my life that my anxiety is completely gone. I didn't just learn to manage it, I completely got rid of it. Let me be clear. It didn't happen overnight and it wasn't exactly easy. My years in this field have taught me a lot about people and one of those lessons is that people want quick, easy fixes and cures when they don't exist. If that's what you're looking for then I have some bad news and a tiny scrap of advice. Buckle down and be prepared to live with anxiety for the rest of your life because that's what's likely going to happen. You can put in the work or you can live with it, those are your options.
I cured my own anxiety
I cured my anxiety and I did it over time and I did it with consistent effort. Since then, I've passed my knowledge and skills on to many of my clients, young and old. When people use them, they work. Plain and simple. I've helped myself with this problem as well as many other people. I'm living, breathing proof that anxiety can be cured, so when I say that I know what's going on here, I'm talking from experience. I've rarely, if ever, heard of therapists who have a good handle on this issue. Most of them, in fact, will tell you that they also struggle with anxiety, so it begs the question: if they can't help their own anxiety, how could you expect them to help you with yours?
People should also know that there isn't any formal training or education for the effective treatment of anxiety, which is why most therapists will just try and refer you to a doctor to take medication. Most of them will just pass the buck to a doctor. If there is any formal education or training on it, I haven't ever heard of it. That's not to say that therapy can't help; it absolutely can. Many of my methods are based on established therapy models, most of which have been left behind these days and aren't used as much as they used to be. My intern supervisor was an old-school therapist who helped train me in some of these old-school methods, like cognitive therapy.
Cognitive therapy isn't sexy enough anymore for therapists who seem more and more determined to move away from therapy that actually works. Modern therapists want therapy to feel good and to be a cushiony way of supporting people, even though that's not usually going to help them in the long run nor is it going to help them solve their problems. Therapy used to be equated to change and now it's more closely equated to protecting your feelings and keeping you from feeling anything uncomfortable. I realize that's what some people want out of therapy, that's their prerogative, I suppose, but if a therapist isn't helping you make lasting changes for a better life, why would you want to go to them?
The bottom line is that most therapists aren't going to be able to help you with your anxiety. The industry, as a whole, doesn't talk about anxiety as though you can permanently be rid of it, but again, I'm here to tell you that you can.
You might be making it worse
One of the biggest problems I find when it comes to anxiety is that people are doing all of the wrong things. What they think is the right thing to help it is actually making things worse in the long run. Especially when they sacrifice other areas of their lives in order to get some immediate relief. While you might feel less anxious in the short term by avoiding anything that might make you anxious, you're losing parts of yourself and your life and you're only making it more difficult to get out of your comfort zone later. The more time you spend in your comfort zone, the worse your anxiety is going to get. Even the thought of going outside to get the mail might cause you anxiety.
There's a formula for what helps anxiety get better, as well as a formula for making it worse. Most anxious people are unwittingly doing the types of things that only make it worse. They're unwittingly doing all of the wrong things. To get rid of anxiety, people need the correct formula for getting rid of it. That will require you to unlearn a lot of wrong things. Unfortunately, so many therapists have taken a major wrong turn in this regard. Many of them are going to recommend that you do the worst kinds of things that are only going to cause it to be worse in the long run. If a therapist is telling you to avoid situations that make you anxious, they're giving you bad advice. You might feel some relief in the short term, but doing this will only make it worse in the long run.
The truth is that if you want to get rid of your anxiety, you have to plunge yourself into it, in a way. You have to face it and you have to confront it head-on instead of just trying to avoid it. Anxious people just want the anxious feelings to go away and they're busy doing whatever they need to do to feel better in the moment. To get rid of it, you have to go through the storm of it, so to speak. Many people don't find the right answers for things like anxiety because they don't like the solution; they want it to be something different from what it actually is. Sometimes the first step is to accept the reality that if you want to get rid of anxiety, you're going to have to make yourself quite uncomfortable, which can be a tall order for some anxious people who are completely holed up in their comfort zone.
The unfortunate truth is, anxiety will consume your entire life if you let it. Over time, you get smaller and smaller and so does your comfort zone. You stay in one place, your days just blur together into an infinite, bland repeat. Anxiety can completely ruin your life. Whether you know it or not, you have a life to live and anxiety will take it from you if you allow it. As long as you live with anxiety, you will live as though a river is gently pressing against you to shut down and not live your life. Anxiety is that river and unless you get rid of it, you will probably succumb to it. You owe it to yourself to get rid of it. Rather than feeling afraid of confronting it, you should foster a healthy fear of what will happen if you don't change.
Lifestyle changes
So, what's the secret? What's the key? You might be wondering this by now. The truth is, getting rid of anxiety is about making changes. Living without anxiety is a lifestyle. People want quick, instant, overnight fixes but they don't exist. Think of it this way: if you had spent years allowing your health and fitness to fall into a total state of decay, it's not going to be quick or easy to get healthy again. You have to dedicate yourself to changing habits and becoming a new person. That's the truth about getting rid of anxiety.
Our modern lifestyles support an anxious way of life. We're not built to live the way we do, and I'm convinced that anxiety is always going to show up if you live the standard lifestyle. If you just follow the standard American lifestyles of staying inside, staying sedentary and spending your free time staring at a screen, anxiety is naturally going to follow. The good news is that improvements can happen very quickly with some small efforts. There are some simple things you can do to see some improvements. But you have to adopt these things as part of your lifestyle and create new habits. Getting rid of anxiety is about changing your habits.
The real magic is changing how you think and how you change your mind. The truth is, most people these days lead with their emotions almost exclusively. Anxiety is a trick of the mind and if you change how you think, you're going to change how you feel. Most people benefit from using different brain functions. In so doing, you can easily break out of the illusion created by anxiety.

One of the first things you need is the right information and to take the right actions. I developed a full-length course that will teach you what you need to know. It's a long course, full of information, tools and skills that, if practiced, will help you with your anxiety. The results you get will depend on how much effort you put into it. This course is for sale right here on my website and it will cost you a lot less than going to two months' worth of therapy. I built the course principle by principle so that each section builds on the previous section. It's loaded with tools, skills and homework; I can pretty much guarantee it's going to be much more useful to you than the help that most therapists offer.
See, there's a process in which anxiety happens or unfolds in your mind. It's an automatic and habitual process. It happens so quickly, you usually don't even notice until it's too late and you've been overwhelmed with anxiety. This course helps break the whole process down so that you can apply various interventions and skills at various times during the anxiety process. Kind of like diverting a river down a new path. This course includes some elements from different therapy approaches, mindfulness skills and some of my own skills that I've developed over the years.
Over and over, I've proven that these skills and tools work. I teach them to my clients, young and old and when applied, they always report improvements. If you struggle with anxiety, you will benefit from my course but only if you're willing to put in some work. We live in a society rife with all the wrong messages about change and happiness. Mental wellness comes to those who earn it. Plain and simple. When your anxiety is gone, you can start living. You owe it to yourself to tackle this problem once and for all. My course will help you do that, so go and purchase it and get started. You can take the course by going to this page.
